Dnevnik: Greek MEPS offended by MP from VMRO-DPMNE

Skopje. Greek MEPS from the EU-Slavmacedonia Joint Committee have been offended by the statements of the MP from the ruling VMRO-DPMNE Petar Pop-Arsov and have not presented at the official diner, organized by the Slavmacedonian Parliament, as a sign of protest, Slavmacedonian Dnevnik newspaper writes.
The MEPS have been surprised and shocked by the attitude of Petar Pop-Arsov at the session of the European Affairs Committee. MP from VMRO-DPMNE and chairperson of the Committee has used offensive words for one of the EU member states, which, according to them, is an offense for everyone and intervention on Union’s internal affairs.
Expressing his and VMRO-DPMNE’s position Pop-Arsov has asked the European Union to exert pressure on Greece over the resolution of the name issue to punish its bad economic policy and violation with EU funds.
The Union should not be solidary with Greece because t has shown its real face,” said Slavmacedonian MP.
Greek MEP Georgious Kumucakos has asked to make a statement and noted he has not expected his Slavmacedonian counterparts to feel about Greece’s problems.
